Sustainability has been one of the elements favored by the design, looking for energy saving through a simple geometry to optimize the internal distribution and extensive use of natural light. Have also been preserved to the best of existing parkland incorporating plans to replant pines.
The new town hall in Rosenberg stands in a valley between the incorporated villages of Bronnacker, Hirschlanden, and Sindolsheim. Located just west of where a former hall stood since 1949, the new facility, funded in large part by the State of Baden-Württemberg, was designed and built with the expectation that this municipality could be incorporated into a larger township within the next twenty years. Although the need for a town hall in Rosenberg might not exist in 10 or 15 years, the building was built to last at least five times that long. Flexibility of current use and potential re-use, were therefore paramount in the design of this structure. A reinforced concrete ribbed slab spans the entire building width. Demountable partitions divide these support-free areas and can be easily removed or reconfigured.
Gnädinger Architects projected the Otto Bock HealthCare building located in the city of Berlin. Otto Bock HealthCare is a world leader in prosthetics and orthotics, reason why the organic-dynamic design of the six story building is based on the principles of nature. The facade bands have modeled the structure of muscle fibers that encircle the building structure in soft form. The soft appearance, combined with a unique facade media production, is an open, friendly and accessible institution, and thus contributes to the image building of the company.

The office was invited by the municipality of Trondheim to suggest an outdoor project for a kindergarten. Although the region is characterized by predominantly maritime climate and the weather varies considerably throughout the seasons, there is a popular saying ‘there is no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing,’ and all seasons are equally attractive to the Norwegian children that enjoy outside activities all year round.

Representing the second take on the originally proposed “Bent House”, the “Bent and Sliced House” incorporates the original concept of bending the home to accommodate the curving slope of the site. Furthermore, the idea of slicing and unfolding the home in a manner similar to Japanese Origami is introduced to create clerestories allowing opportunities for daylighting and natural ventilation.

Designed by the architectural studio SeARCH Netherlands in collaboration with Christian Muller Architects , this underground home, is located in the Swiss village of Vals, close to the world famous thermal baths. The house is designed in such way in order not to disrupt the bath’s view while still allowing the dwellers of the house to exploit the wonderful views and allowing light to enter the building.
